Cape Rock hails from Vredendal on the West Coast. So light you could even enjoy it slightly chilled. Succulent red fruit with an extremely soft finish.
Vins D’Orrance. Made by Christophe Durand. A classic. Elegant and inviting with layers of flavour, this wine is always a winner.
Lam Syrah is from the Lammershoek Farm, and is a slightly different Swartland Shiraz. There are no big chunky flavours. It’s fresh and dry on the finish and has notes of fruitcake, spice and prune.
Hartenberg Doorkeeper Shiraz 2010 is the latest wine from an estate famous for their Shiraz wines. It’s still a tad young, but very drinkable. Lovely fruit with a subtle, savoury edge.
Unplugged from Joubert-Tradauw out near Barrydale is a velvety wine showing hints of tilled earth, cloves, black pepper and rich plummy fruit.
Cranefield 2008, Villiersdorp, is silky smooth with dark fruit and a slightly spicy finish.
