In praise of Italian waiters and French chefs.

When the White Star Line recruited for its new fleet of luxury liners they looked for the best.

This is a list of the waiters and chefs of the a la carte restaurant and who died on the night of April 14th/15th 1912, 100 years ago next week.

The cooks were French, and the waiters were Italian

In praise and remembrance of all the restaurant staff who lost their lives on the Titanic.

The money we raise on the night of our commemorative dinner in the Mount Nelson on April 14th will go to the NSRI who will use it for lifesaving equipment to be used in the dangerous waters around South Africa.
