Cauliflower cottage pie

This recipe is a new take on the traditional cottage pie. I think it’s tastier. Instead of potatoes you use cauliflower as the topping, which adds a new and interesting twist to a familiar dish.

This recipe serves 4.

500g mince.

2 onions, chopped.

4 garlic cloves.

2 teaspoons of worcester sauce.

1 small head of cauliflower.

5 stalks of celery, chopped.

2 cups of grated cheddar.

1 tin of tomatoes.

Olive oil for frying.

Sweat the onions, celery and garlic in the pan.

Add the mince, worcester sauce, tomatoes.

Separately steam the cauliflower until tender. Mash them and add cheese.

Place the meat mixture in an overproof dish and put the cauliflower and cheese topping on top and place in an oven heated to 150 degrees.

Leave for 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Serve with salad.
