The Champagne of Mineral Waters.

Sodastream 152x300 The Champagne of Mineral Waters.

Sodastream.

Sodastream have gone on a marketing push. They have distributed the famous old sodastream machine to a gaggle of Cape Town bloggers and journalists.

These devices bring me back to my childhood.

A major plank of their marketing strategy has been to persuade us to stop buying bottled water, which is bad for the environment (all these bottles taking thousands of years to decompose and clogging up our seas).

That does not take much persuasion, especially if a lot of bottled water isn’t even mineral water – it’s tap water that the likes of Bonaqua stick into their bottles. See my earlier post on this issue;  http://www.spill.co.za/tast-test/taste-test-mineral-water/2088/

So what’s the best thing to do?

Well here’s what I do.

I have several large containers that I fill up when empty.I fill them with fresh Table Mountain Mineral Water from the Magic Spring on

Springs way spring. 300x225 The Champagne of Mineral Waters.

The spring in Newlands.

Springs Way off Kildare Road in Newlands.

See my post on the spring; http://www.spill.co.za/the-producers/the-magic-little-spring-springs-way-newlands/2653/

I get the delicious water home and I use the sodastream to spritz up and carbonate it like a fanatic.

It’s the most stunning mineral water drink in the world; The Champagne of Mineral Waters.
