The Kug.

It’s called The Kug.

It’s a cross between a kettle and a mug. The inventors say ” A Kiss and a Hug, a Kettle in a Mug”, and recommend that you kiss it when you drink from it and hug it with your hands.

The new design is a mug that contains a hidden electrical element. You place the mug on its dock and hey presto, 90 seconds later, you have a mug of boiling liquid for your coffee, tea, noodles, soup, hot chocolate or hot whiskey. It’s up to your imagination.

Designed by Ben Millet and Alan Harrison, two final year students at Dublin’s National College of Art and Design, The Kug has caught people’s imagination.

simple cup of tea. The cup handles were too small and the kettles were too big. They decided to incorporate the liquid container and the kettle in one unit, and to leave out the handle altogether.

You can plug it into the mains, or it will run off the UBS port on your laptop. You chose the temperature of the liquid by rotating the cup to a desired heat level while on the dock.
