I started in La Cuccina on January 15th.
What’s your favourite thing to cook?
Bouillebaisse.
What’s your favourite thing to eat?
Steak, tomato and red onions.
Describe the worst customer you have ever had to serve.
There was a guy in the UK, when I was working there, who demanded overcooked fish and chips.We had to send the dish out to him a second time. He still wasn’t happy. He started waving some sort of a black credit card, and started shouting that he could buy the whole restaurant with the card. So I told him to get out, get stuffed and buy another restaurant.
The customer isn’t always right, you know.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Pleasing people.
What’s the worst thing about your job?
Not getting enough family time.
What other restaurant do you like?
Kalky’s in Kalk Bay, a fish and chip place.
If you weren’t a chef, what other job would you like?
I would love to have been an architect.
