It’s wine harvest season in the Cape and one of the most anticipated festivals is right around the corner. The 8th annual Paarl OmmiBerg ‘Round the Rock’ festival will be held on Saturday, 7th March from 10am until 6pm and Laborie Wine Farm will be at the centre of the action.
Laborie will be opening their doors to visitors of all ages and offering fun-filled activities for the whole family and barrel loads of delights to tempt your senses.
Festival-goers will be first in line to sample this year’s harvest as Laborie begin the festivities with a young wine tasting. Visitors are also invited to try their hand at wine blending and grape stomping - and stand a chance to win some great prizes! There will also be some not-to-be-missed wine specials for those who are looking to stock up their wine racks.
For the kids
OmmiBerg offers fun for everyone and this includes your little ones. Laborie is offering a range of child-friendly activities including egg and spoon races, sakresies (sack races), bobbing for apples, wheel barrow races, jumping castles and water slides.
